Drafter/Survey Technician

We are looking for qualified applicants to join our team as a Drafter/Survey Technician. 

 

The job duties for this position would involve:

​

  • Preparation of drainage study design plans and figures using drafting software such as Microstation and ArcGIS. 

  • Incorporation of survey data and notes into detailed drawings of existing and proposed drainage structures.

  • Manipulation of data to facilitate hydraulic modeling and reporting, including LiDAR DEMs, photogrammetry DTMs, and hydraulic model outputs.

  • Short-term travel to complete field work involving surveying tasks typically utilizing total station and data collector.

Our ideal candidate for this position has:

​

  • Skill and experience utilizing CAD drafting software.  Microstation experience is preferred but not required.  3+ years of experience required.

  • Strong working knowledge of advanced drafting practices and familiarity with CAD principles (e.g., text placement and editing, layering, snap, and precision input)

  • An established work ethic completing projects from start to finish in a professional engineering consulting environment.

  • Interest in field work, including out-of-state trips ranging from 1 to 5 days  and surveying in variable weather conditions.

  • Ability to work independently and remotely, with a willingness to engage on a variety of tasks required to operate a small business.
